Residence in the United Arab Emirates (UAE)
Residence in the UAE can be received on the basis of the business in the UAE, that is the company registered in the name of the applicant/s in the UAE with the license allowing doing business in the UAE.
There are three categories of such licenses:
- Commercial;
- Service;
- General Trading.
The most common category of legal entity’s license in the UAE for those who wants to obtain residence in UAE is a General Trading License, since only this license includes the issuance of residence to up to three owners of the company.
Often, those people who want to obtain a residence permit in UAE refer to this criterion, not paying attention to the activities that will be actually carried out by the registered legal entity. The correct choice of the registered legal entity’s license to ensure the safety and unproblematic running of business should be the first criterion for the registration of the company.

The following documents and information (for each of the owners) will be required for the registration of a company in the UAE:
- The copies of travel passports (the validity period of the document shall be not less than 6 months at the time of applying for a visa)
- The copy of the previous UAE visas (if any)
- Utility bill not older than 6 months
- Passport photo on a white background
- The full names of parents
- The address in the country of residence
- The address in UAE (if any)
- Contact information (e-mail and phone number)
- CV with the description of experience (for service / consulting licenses only).
To register the company 2-3 projects of the company name will be required.
The process of a company registration in the UAE and the receipt of residence in the UAE is as follows:
- The client/s provide the necessary documents and data;
- Our specialists prepare the registration forms to be signed by the client/s;
- The client/s sign the registration form and provide it to us by courier for the submission of dossier for registration of the company;
- Registration of the company (up to three days);
- Submission of client’s documents to get the immigration card and visa (Entry Permit);
- Pending the receipt of the immigration card and visa (Entry Permit) (15-20 days);
- The copy of the visa is provided to the client/s + the original visa of client/s is provided to border agency in the arrival airport of UAE;
- The arrival in the UAE in order to:
– Insert a visa in the passport;- Pass medical test;- Apply for Emirates ID.
Important:Entry Permit is valid for only 60 days from the date of issue, and to obtain UAE residence you must enter the UAE during the validity period of the Entry Permit.
Visit to the UAE should be planned for no less than 5 working days.
In order to maintain residency it is required to visit the UAE not less than ones in 180 days.
Residence will be issued for three years.
In order to maintain residence the registered company should be renewed annually.
