The majority of the European countries offer to the citizens of the third countries multifarious programs of obtaining the permit for living on their territory.
For example Spain, Portugal, Italy, Latvia, Greece offers to obtain the temporary residence permit when purchasing the real estate with the cost of 300.000 euro and more, and also with necessarily living on the territory of the state. Investors in this case obtains only residence permit for 1 year, which is required to prolong all the time (during minimum 5 years for obtaining the permanent residence), and also required to confirm living not less than half of the year on the territory of the state, which issued the residence permit.
Besides, the prices for the real estate unwarrantable overestimated for more objects to get into the program and there is no guarantee of the return of specified investments when selling the real estate in future.
There are exist immigration programs, provided obtaining of the residence permit when opening business or investments in business. These programs provide Poland, Slovakia, and Lithuania. On the investor and businessmen in this case lies the responsibility to create the work places, tax and other obligations. And besides with insignificant mistakes the residence permit can be not prolonged on the next year and all the efforts will be wasted.
There are also programs similar with the Hungarian, in which funds are invested to the economy of the government, and investor obtains the permit on living, but the amounts about which we are talking are way much higher. This way, Austria offers its territory for investors from 5.000.000 euro, Great Britain from 10.000.000 pounds, Bulgaria from 500.000 euro.
